Voyager Summer Camp: Ages 9 – 17

Join us this summer for an exciting, new, all-day youth program combining the considerable strengths and history of the Hudson River Maritime Museum, now in its 47th year! The HRMM Voyager Program offers a truly unique, multi-activity, hands-on opportunity for young participants. Open to all skill levels, our Seafarers (9-12 years old) and Navigators (13-17 years old) will spend each day sailing for three hours, practicing boat building and woodworking for 90 minutes, and participating in other STEAM activities involving history, crafts, games, and tours on our solar tour boat Solaris, all while fostering learning, friendship, and adventure. Seafarers and Navigators will come together for a mid-day lunch onshore. The program is led by professional woodworkers, museum educators, and US Sailing Certified Instructors who help participants explore how STEAM principles apply in the woodshop and on the water. Classes are held rain or shine each day they are scheduled. We sail in light rain, but if thunderstorms threaten we stay ashore and do other activities.
