Spotlight on Ulster County’s Newest Addition: NCG Cinemas!

Since last summer, the Hudson Valley Mall has been without a cinema, but now, we no longer have to live without! Welcome the area’s newest addition: NCG Cinemas! You can find this new gem in the former Regal Cinemas location at the Hudson Valley Mall. This Easter Weekend is its grand opening.

This new cinema boasts an incredibly welcoming environment and viewer-friendly experience. This entire space has been renovated for ultimate comfort, starting with its seating. All 12 theaters have luxury seating, ranging from general admission seating to VIP recliners. (The general admission seating is just as dreamy as the VIP seating, though). But, for just $2 more, you can have a seat that not only electronically reclines, but can be heated for your personal comfort. A new change to the standard movie-going experience brought to you by NCG Cinemas, is reserved seating. When you purchase your ticket, you can select which seats you would prefer and reserve them accordingly, ensuring you sit exactly where you want, no longer missing out being next to friends and family.

Another awesome feature of the new NCG Cinemas, is FREE REFILLS! Yes, you read that right- free refills on any size drink, and any size popcorn! Two additional NCG Cinemas perks are the “butter-your-own popcorn” station, and the Coca Cola Freestyle machines. You can customize your popcorn with their butter topping, and seasonings available at the station, as well as customize your beverage with the 100+ Coca Cola offerings at the Freestyle machine. (Don’t forget about the free refills!)

NCG Cinemas ticket prices remain competitive with the former theater. They are running a special every Tuesday, during which all movies are just $5. Additionally, there will be specials in the works, such as “Dinner and a Movie,” so keep an eye out for those deals as well.

In addition to 2D movies, and 3D, NCG Cinemas offers “Sensory-Friendly” movie showings. This ensures that the movies can be an all-inclusive experience for everyone. During the sensory-friendly showings, the lighting will not be dimmed to complete darkness, the sound will not be as loud, and movie-goers are encouraged and welcome to move around, stand up, and sing during these showings.
