Join Hudson Valley artist Eva Tenuto for the opening of her first solo exhibition, Life After | Afterlife. Tenuto returned to painting during a period of profound loss. Her richly textured, mixed-media paintings explore presence, vitality, transformation, and the unseen forces that shape our lives. Working intuitively with acrylic, oil stick, oil pastel, fiber, collage, and other materials, she builds surfaces through layering, scraping, covering, and revealing. Her paintings are nonlinear and often unruly. They insist on remaining fully alive in the face of whatever untethers us from all we know.

The exhibition runs October 3 through November 8.
