High School Sailing Club – 6 Sessions Begin with Orientation

This six-session class (18 hours total) is designed for youth ages 13 – 17 who are either new to dinghy sailing or who would like additional opportunities to get out on the water, make new friends from different communities, and learn more about sailing.

Spring Session: Orientation: Thursday, May 14 5:00 to 6:30 pm. Classes will be Thursdays, 3:30 – 6:30 pm, May 21 & 28; June 4, 11, 18 & 25.

US Sailing-certified instructors will teach or review the basics of sailing in brief on-land chalk talks, creative land drills and on the water in our fleet of dinghy sailboats.  Participants will practice various crew and skipper skills while working as teams with other students. Instructors will coach from nearby safety boats.
