Artist Talk: Edward Bakst “Creative Journey Across Time & Spaces”

Edward Bakst views imagination as the source of inspiration, a force that frees us from the limits of everyday reality. Throughout his career, he has balanced launching innovative academic programs and leading imagination workshops with work in animation, art, concept design, drawing, and photography, while extensive travel has fueled his curiosity about the world’s hidden contrasts. Rather than seeing himself as a traditional photographer, Bakst approaches his work as a questioning explorer. His latest work focuses on revealing extraordinary worlds concealed within ordinary objects and scenes. Join him at the Arts Society of Kingston on Saturday, July 18 at 3 p.m. for an artist talk exploring the philosophy behind his exhibition Hidden Realities, his creative process, and the discoveries that transform the familiar into the unexpected.
