 es us from the limits of everyday reality. Throughout his career\, he has 
 balanced launching innovative academic programs and leading imagination wo
 rkshops with work in animation\, art\, concept design\, drawing\, and phot
 ography\, while extensive travel has fueled his curiosity about the world
 ’s hidden contrasts. Rather than seeing himself as a traditional photogr
 apher\, Bakst approaches his work as a questioning explorer. His latest wo
 rk focuses on revealing extraordinary worlds concealed within ordinary obj
 ects and scenes. Join him at the Arts Society of Kingston on Saturday\, Ju
 ly 18 at 3 p.m. for an artist talk exploring the philosophy behind his exh
