Attractions – All locations
The Hudson Valley and Catskills are destinations for millions of visitors each year and locals keep themselves busy with all of the opportunities that are in this region for recreation, entertainment, and sightseeing. Music and the arts flourish here with a highly desirable blend of small town living and proximity to a major metropolitan area. There are all types of venues from the grandiose Ulster Performing Arts Center that features world-class performers, numerous art galleries featuring local artists, and a set of wildly diverse music venues. The river and mountains provide a playground where boating, hiking, fishing, cycling and other outdoor activities can keep anyone from ever being bored. The history of the region from the time it was settled by Native Americans has been shaped by immigrants and cycles of industries that have dominated local economies. These have left layers of historical artifacts behind and numerous museums and historical sites represent them. As you can see, there is something fun and interesting to do for everyone.
