The Kingston Uptown Business Association (KUBA) presents the 7th Annual Snowflake Festival to be held in the Historic Stockade Business District of Uptown Kingston on Friday, December 1st, from 6-8 p.m. We would like to thank our major sponsors for this year’s festival, Mainetti, Mainetti, & O’Connor and 92.9 WBPM along with this year’s Holiday Décor Sponsors, Kingstone Insurance Company and Ulster Savings Bank.

Arriving in a historic fire truck, Santa will light the tree at the corner of Wall Street and North Front Street promptly at 6 pm immediately followed with festivities throughout the Historic Stockade District including a wonderland of sparkling snowflakes which are new for this year’s festival.

The festival’s main stage, located on Wall Street., will have free performances from the Key of Q Chorus, Coach House Players Choir, the KHS Brass Band, CCE Energy & POOK, Ukraine Dancers, and many others all of which will begin promptly after the lighting of the Christmas tree.

Throughout the celebration in other parts of the Historic Stockade District, The Ice-Man will be creating a magnificent snowflake display with dancing lights, music, and, new for this year, a ‘selfie’ ice sculpture. The Heat-Mizer will be juggling fire, which has become an annual crowd pleaser at the Snowflake Festival. Victorian Carolers will stroll the streets filling air with music and holiday spirit.

Under the canopy, many shops and businesses will be joining the festivities offering crafts, hot chocolate, cookies and even a photo booth to capture your holiday memories with family and friends.
Once again the Senate House will be a winter wonderland of lights and beauty where you can:

  • Visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Yorker Barn and enjoy a holiday movie
  • Enjoy chestnuts roasting over an open fire and hot apple cider
  • Delight in Christmas Carolers singing holiday music

The Fireman’s Museum will also be open handing out treats and a place to warm up and learn about Kingston’s historic Fireman’s heritage and the Old Dutch Church will be handing out cookies.
In addition to the entertainment on the main stage, winners of the annual bike raffle will be announced. If you would like more information on the raffle you can pick up your entries at The YMCA, the Boys & Girls Club of Kingston, and Both Kingston City Recreation Centers (the Andy Murphy Building in Midtown and the Roundout Center on lower Broadway). Entries will be collected on Nov. 21st, 2017 with winners announced on Nov. 25th, 2017.
Be sure to make your reservations early for one of the many Uptown restaurants after a fun evening of holiday cheer.
