Things To Do This Fourth of July Weekend in Kingston, NY for 7/2-7/4

Happy Independence Day Weekend! This Fourth of July holiday may not be seeing as many fireworks celebrations as usual, but there are still plenty of activities to put on your radar for things to do here in our part of the Hudson Valley. If your pleasure is music, history, art, or mixing and mingling with community members, there is some sort of event waiting for you to enjoy.

Here are a few of our picks for some fun weekend things to do:

Colonial Game Days presented by the Ulster County Clerk’s Office – Bring the kids and they can learn how kids during Colonial times played, without the aid of electronics.

PARTICIPATORY ART Workgroup – You too, can be part of an art project while enjoying the Rondout Creek shoreline and even some Argentinian arepas.

Lara Hope’s Gold Hope Duo w/ Phil Roebuck at Keegan Ales -Phil Roebuck set the stage on fire (not literally) the last time he was in Kingston and teaming up with the Gold Hope Duo will make for a great show.

Clearwater Public Sail from Rhinecliff -Want to find out what it’s like to sail the Hudson in a schooner from the 1700’s? Here’s your chance!

Saugerties 4th of July Parade & Fireworks -Fireworks are back in Saugerties along with it’s traditional parade that will liven up the Village!

Independence Day at Clermont State Historic Site – Lots of family-friendly activities are waiting for you at Clermont State Park! There will be demonstrations of historic sewing, paper cutting, and proper soldiering in the British army!

…The best part of this weekend’s happenings? Some of these events are Virtual so if you’re not feeling like venturing out just yet, there are still many fun and exciting happenings to take part in. Have a nice weekend no matter what you do!
