Step into THE LOCKWOOD GALLERY and you’ll find that you’ve entered an immersive narrative – a gallery transformed as near as possible into a library. Paintings, drawings and sculptures, sometimes literally sometimes metaphorically, all installed by their “Special Collection”: Art, architecture, archeology, geology, geography, cartography, mathematics, astronomy, 19th C. music manuscripts, botanicals of the Hudson Valley, poetry, children’s literature, rare (one of a kind) books and restricted books. All curated by “THE LIBRARIAN,” working from what was once Lockwood Architecture’s Conference Room, now reimagined as the Librarian’s book lined office.
Artists:
Andrea Burgay, Sidney Cash, Marieken Cochius, Anthony Finta, Willie Gary, Leslie Giuliani, Stanford Kay, Carole Kunstadt, Heidi Lanino, Vincent Pidone, Claudia Renfro, David Schaengold, Greg Slick and Mimi Young.
