Teen Babysitting Certification

Learn babysitting safety and skills from the Kingston Fire Department!

This class covers things like diapering, medication safety, areas safety, talking with parents before you take a babysitting job, and writing a resume. Each student gets a digital certification card and reference book to keep.

We are excited to offer this important class to 12 to 18-year-olds at no cost!

Teens who complete the babysitting class can choose to be added to a roster of available sitters for providing child care (with adult supervision) at community events. This opportunity contributes to their job development and future employment prospects. The roster is for community organizations only.

Snacks will be provided. Registration required and opens October 5.

Be sure to register with a parent or guardian’s email.  KFD will not send a digital certificate or any kind of correspondence to a child under the age of 18.
