St Patrick’s Day with JigJam
Celebrate St Patrick’s day in the Hudson Valley with JigJam, an award winning quartet from Offaly and Tipperary, the heart of the midlands in Ireland. Bluegrass has its roots in Irish music and Irish immigration and JigJam uses this history as a starting point to create the first wave of the new Irish invasion of Americana music, a heady cross of bluegrass and Irish folk. All multi-instrumentalists, JigJam interchange between banjos, guitars, fiddles, mandolins and double bass. The band delivers a virtuosic energy-fueled, foot-stomping live performance that has captivated audiences throughout the world.
JigJam made its Grand Ole Opry Debut in Nashville in March 2023 to critical acclaim receiving a standing ovation from a sold-out crowd on Country Music’s biggest stage. The group was joined on the night by Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Steve Earle, Lauren Alaina, and many more. Their birth certificates could have been registered in the heart of Kentucky, so acquainted they are with the swerves and hairpin bends of bluegrass.
