Join us for an unforgettable evening as The Arts Society of Kingston presents Sound and Vision, a mesmerizing multimedia performance by the acclaimed composer Tasso Zapanti. Experience cinematic soundscapes paired with stunning motion graphics, featuring Tasso on keyboards, processed guitar, harmonium, and Cecil Hooker on violin. Don’t miss this immersive journey through sound and sight on Saturday, 9/28 at 7 PM, 97 Broadway, Kingston, NY.
Tasso Zapanti has received an ASCAP/GERSHWIN award in composition, was an artist-in-residence at the experimental television center in Oswego, New York and was included in Hollywood Reporter’s list of “Who’s Who” in film and television composers.
He has composed music for film, TV and dance. He has released three albums that are currently streaming on Spotify and Pandora radio. His albums are available for digital downloads from iTunes and Amazon.
His recent live performances include the multimedia project “Journey” with performance artist Anika Rhea (live painting through dance)
and also his personal creation “Sound & Vision”. A multimedia performance of music and projections with violinist Cecil Hooker.

As a tenor, he has performed with the community choir at Lincoln Center / David Geffen Hall, in Toshi Reagon’s opera “Parable of the Sower”

Cecil Hooker is a classically trained violinist and a member of the “Woodstock Chamber Concerts” project.
He has performed on over 40 albums in multiple genres that include, pop, rock, folk, indie and country. He has performed live in the US, Japan, France and Germany. He currently plays in New York City with the punk-folk trio “Too Many Lauras”
