Seafaring Songs with Geoff Kaufman

Admit it, you love a good sea shanty. And while you’ve heard shanties before, you probably never heard them like this! On August 27, come enjoy this time honored art with musician Geoff Kaufman. A professional shanty singer, Geoff is known for his work at Mystic Seaport as well as his time with Pete Seeger as a Sloopsinger aboard the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater. This event will take place on the Hudson River Maritime Museum’s campus, in the homeport Barn. Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase as you immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of maritime tunes. It’s a special opportunity to hear songs that don’t usually make the top 40! ​This event is a community service of the Rotary Club of Kingston.
