“Rustin”: Film Screening
Rustin is an American biographical drama based on the true story of Bayard Rustin, a gay man who was a close advisor to Martin Luther King Jr. Without Rustin’s dedication and contributions, the Civil Rights Movement may not have realized the success it did. Despite this, Rustin was sidelined from the movement due to his sexual orientation.
The Hudson Valley LGBTQ+ Community Center will host a special screening of this recently released Academy Award nominated Netflix film followed by a discussion.
