Roxiny
NYC-based singer/songwriter and women’s rights activist Roxiny brings her electrifying voice and powerful storytelling back to Kingston after a standout debut at the 2023 O+ Festival.
Her debut album QOYA – a raw and genre-spanning work created with producers Alex Epton (Bjork, FKA Twigs, Vampire Weekend), Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beach House) and Jonathan Kreinik (Run The Jewels, The Rapture) – earned wide attention, with songs featured on 50 Cent’s hit series BMF. Earlier this year she released For The Girls – a stripped-down acoustic companion that highlights her songwriting at its most intimate. Released on International Women’s Day, the EP features acoustic versions of album tracks “9 Months,” “Castles” and “Ni Santas Ni Putas” and channels Roxiny’s deep commitment to social justice, with proceeds supporting organizations that fight gender-based violence and defend reproductive freedoms.
Expect a performance at Chromatic Studios where soulful artistry and conviction meet in equal measure.
