Peter Tosh Tribute w/ Roots Rock Reality Band in The Garden!

Putting together a special tribute show in honor of Peter Tosh’s birthday, the Roots Rock Reality band reunites again this fall for a show at the Colony Garden in Woodstock New York this October. This will be the 8th installment of tribute shows by Roots Rock Reality over the past 5 years, previously performing the Bob Marley albums Survival, Kaya, Babylon by Bus, Uprising, Rastaman Vibration in their entirety; as well as his final concert from September 1980; and a special mash-up set combining Bob Marley & Dennis Brown tunes under the moniker “King and Crown Prince” at Charlemont Reggae Festival in 2022.

This show will likely be one of Peter Tosh’s live performances as opposed to an album.

Featuring I Anbassa (Denroy Morgan, Word Sound Power Movement) and IanISoultree (The Alchemystics, Soulrizer Crew) pairing up on vocals & rhythm guitar, The Roots Rock Reality band is an all-star ensemble of musicians with international touring experience backing reggae greats as well as holding down their own respective regional projects. Robin Setal on bass (formerly with Burning Spear, currently with Fresh Reggae Band & Don Minott), Freddy McCondichie on drums (formerly with the Meditations, currently with the Alchemystics, Soulrizer), Dan Thomas on lead guitar (Mystic Bowie’s Talking Dreads, Sensi All Stars, The Valley Moonstompers Society, et al) and Jay Metcalf on keyboards (Mystic Bowie’s Talking Dreads, Don Minott, Ras Moon & Monsoon, Valley Moonstompers et al).
The members of this group have also backed Johnny Osbourne, Denroy Morgan, Anita Antionette, Lamboginny, Greg Roy & Ali McGuirk & have toured Japan, Europe, Jamaica & Africa.
