Milton has a story to tell you. It’s a story about a warm Louisiana night.

It’s a story about a cold winter morning in Brooklyn. It’s a story about a moment you can’t seem to forget. Stories and songs. That’s what Milton’s been concerned with for the last 20 years, since his song “In The City” first lit up the college radio airwaves in his native New York City. His songs are deceptively easy to listen to, steeped in a lifetime of digging deep into roots and words and music history. Whether appearing solo, with a trio or a big band, his live shows take you on a fun, picturesque ride through American music, swingin’ country blues and big city grooves.

Milton has toured extensively throughout the states since 2005, as a headliner and appearing as support for his hero and mentor Chris Smither, in addition to shows and tour dates with Joan Osborne, Steve Earle, Dave Alvin & Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Sonny Landreth, Colin Hay, Kat Edmonson, Josh Ritter and many more.

Milton premiered his 5th and finest album Studio City with a sold out show at City Winery NYC. The album, a veritable tour de force of songwriting and studio craft, features 12 ultra-catchy, concise tunes ranging in style from Sinatra-esque full orchestra swing, to Sgt. Pepper-like whimsical comedy to vintage country and New Orleans rhythm and blues. In concert, Milton and his ultra-sharp band of NYC veteran session players deliver the songs seamlessly with Milton’s own graceful live arrangements. Milton’s song “Sometimes” appeared recently an episode 6 of the SyFy TV show “Resident Alien”.

He has the pitch and rhythm to carry the day, and his sophisticated lyrics keep listeners coming back for more.
