Meet Comic Book Writers from Marvel, DC, Image, and more!
Join us from 5-7pm on Friday 4/26 for a BOOK SIGNING with three incredible comic book writers. This event is FREE to attend; we will have comics and books for purchase.
Collectively they have written a variety of genres for Marvel, DC, Image, Penguin Random House, Oni, AWA, and more! We will have a bunch of their books and comics for purchase, and they’re happy to talk about their jobs for any of you interested in breaking into the work of comic writing.
Jeremy Holt is a (LOCAL!) non-binary author whose works include Gatsby, Made in Korea, Virtually Yours, Before Houdini, After Houdini, and Skip to the End. They are the writer behind the current WHAT IF… VENOM series from Marvel, and have written stories for Marvel’s Voices and DC Pride.
Julio Anta is the author of many graphic novels that tell narratively rich stories about a diverse range of Latinx characters for readers of all ages. These include Home, Frontera and Sí, Se Puede: The Latino Heroes Who Changed the United States. Forthcoming work includes a slate of graphic novels for HarperAlley, Random House Graphic, First Second, and DC Comics.
Chris Condon is the writer of the Image series That Texas Blood along with its Wild West spinoff, The Enfield Gang Massacre, which was selected as one of the best comics of 2023 by The Hollywood Reporter, The Comics Journal, CBR, and The Comics Beat. He has also written for DC, Marvel, Z2, AfterShock, Mad Cave, Dark Horse, 3W/3M, and just released the first issue of his new series through Oni Press, Night People.
