Kingston Cooks: Making Recipes Work for You Healthy Cooking Workshop

Join us for this FREE hands-on cooking workshop led by Juliette McKernon from MVP Health Care with support from The Institute for Family.

Making Recipes Work for You

Learn how to adjust recipes to maximize your family’s resources, while meeting your nutritional needs and tastes. Prepared with people with diabetes or hypertension in mind, this collaborative cooking class will guide participants through making a whole meal from start to finish, while teaching lessons and providing resources to take home. Class will finish by eating the meal we’ve made.

Recipes:

• Appetizer: Spinach Salad (Kingston Eats veggie of the month)
• Main: Grain Bowl Framework
• Dessert: Fruit Tarts
