Hounds & Headstones
Take a spooky storytelling stroll with your dog through a local, historical cemetery! This casual dog walk through the falling leaves curves through the older gravestones in Wiltwyck Cemetery, where costumed storytellers will share stories to tingle your spine. Dogs and their people who prefer an autumnal glow can reserve their walk early in the afternoon; those who enjoy a spookier atmosphere can reserve one of the lantern-lit walks towards the end of the evening. No ghosts or jump scares; all ages welcome.
This dog walk and storytelling stroll is hosted on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025 beginning at 4pm at Wilkwyck Cemetery in Kingston, NY. Flashlights will be provided, as well as refreshments. All dogs must come leashed and with proof of rabies vaccination. Attendees must clean up after their dog, so please bring waste bags and be respectful of the cemetery. Tickets are available on our website at www.ucspca.org; 100% percent of the proceeds go towards the care of the shelter animals at the Ulster County SPCA!
