Susan Elizabeth Frazier and Sadie Peterson Delaney defied the societal expectations placed on them during the Gilded Age through the power of education and the spoken and written word. Hear their stories this Juneteenth weekend!
Hosted in Staatsburgh’s elegant dining room, guest speaker Bill Jeffway, Executive Director of the Dutchess County Historical Society, will explore the role that these two Black women played in uplifting the Black community of the Hudson Valley during the Gilded Age.
Light refreshments will be served following the presentation.
