CARL COX / EDWARD BERKISE 2 SOLO EXHIBITS

This October The Lace Mill Arts presents 2 solo exhibitions from 2 contemporary Hudson Valley artists – photo artist Carl Cox, and abstract painter Edward Berkise.

Edward Berkise works at capturing a spirited repositioning of daily life in his abstract expressionist paintings. Most of the paintings featured in the West Gallery are from his latest series he calls “Windows”, images of sight memory from his everyday surroundings. Also included is a potpourri of smaller paintings accomplished in recent years.                                    .

Meanwhile, in the Main Gallery, award winning photographer Carl Cox demonstrates a distinctive approach in his photos with a unique appreciation of the technology which takes his art to another level. Cox curates his own exhibition he calls “Ghost Stories” with images pressed in silk depicting mysterious figures.

The 2 solo exhibits will run from October 5 through October 27.  The  opening reception will be on Saturday, October 5th from 5 to 9 pm. Gallery hours after the opening are Saturdays and Sundays from 1pm to 4 pm. The Lace Mill is located at 165 Cornell Street in Kingston, NY.
