Baltimorons
The Baltimorons is a 2025 low-key, independent romance film directed by Jay Duplass. On Christmas Eve, Cliff, a newly sober improv comedian, cracks a tooth and lands in the emergency care of Didi, an older no-nonsense dentist. What begins as a routine check-up sparks an unpredictable evening of misadventures leading to a tender, authentic exploration of Baltimore and themselves.
Together, Cliff and Didi fight to overcome being shut out by their families, face their biggest fears, and discover their own surprising and tender connection.
The film is noted for its unforced comedy, naturalistic performances from Michael Strassner and Liz Larsen, and a heartwarming, melancholic tone.
Jay Duplass’ (CYRUS, BAGHEAD) first feature directed in over a decade is a crowd-pleasing rom-com filled with heart and magic. Mark Strassner’s Cliff and Liz Larsen’s Didi make a charming duo that are the main reason the film was given the Audience Award at SXSW this year.
