Our Annual Strawberry Festival is BACK!

Our theme this year is celebrating America’s Semiquincentennial!  We hope you will join us for a day full of history, good food, fun games, and great music! The Strawberry Festival has been an annual tradition of the Klyne Esopus Museum for over 60 years!

PARKING:

Those with permanent handicap logos on their license plate ONLY will be permitted to part in our small lot in front of the museum. (You will be directed exactly where you can park by members of the museum.) ALL OTHERS must park at the Headless Horseman Hayrides/Haunted House lot and either walk over, or wait for the people who will be shuttling visitors over in rented golf carts. There WILL BE an officer patroling traffic and keeping those who wish to walk over safe from harm. Caution cones will also be laid out along the path.

KIDS’ GAMES:

The kids’ area will be down in the “backyard” of the caretaker’s house. There is a walking path through the grass behind the area where the seating tents end so that they don’t have to go anywhere near the road or traffic or the cars being parked in the lot.

FOLLOW THE SIGNS!:

There will be many signs out leading you along to where you need to go and which tents to stop at first–please pay attention so that you don’t get confused and you don’t have to go back and forth (unless you really want to!)

FREEBIES!!:

ADMISSION IS FREE!! That INCLUDES listening to the music inside or out, as well as going inside to listen to the history speakers.  You only have to pay if you want to eat the food being served. A menu of the items will be available at the event.

Stewart’s Shops has graciously donated an ice cream truck to be at our event! It is FREE FOR EVERYONE!

WATER BOTTLES are free for anyone. The other drinks must be purchased.

A small selection of varied fresh fruits will be available as a gracious donation from Maynard Farms. That is FREE as well.
