2026 Shamrock Run
Each year, the Shamrock Run draws thousands of participants and spectators, with more than 2,300 runners completing the 2-mile course down Broadway from Academy Green to the Rondout.The event is proudly family-friendly, welcoming runners and walkers of all ages, strollers, and first-time participants who want to enjoy a festive, non-competitive community run. Families are encouraged to dress in green, bring signs, and cheer along the route!
The race will start at 12:50PM sharp, with our annual Shenanigator, Nadine Ferraro, firing the starting cannon.

Yvonne Sill School Participation Trophy: This award goes to the School with the highest student participation percentage. Adults may join a School Team, but only registered students aged 16 and under will count towards the Participation Trophy. Your School will appear in the drop-down menu once your Team Captain registers.
Brian Hoek Memorial Award: This Award goes to the non-school Team with the largest number of registrants. Your Team will appear in the drop-down menu once your Team Captain registers.
T-Shirt Pick Up:
- Saturday 14 March 2026: 11AM-2PM at the Irish Cultural Center, 290 East Strand, Kingston
- Sunday 15 March 2026:10:30AM-12:30PM, Governor Clinton Apartments, 1 Albany Avenue, Kingston
Please note: T-shirts must be picked up by 12:30PM race day. There are no transfers or refunds if not claimed by then.
Post Race Party: Rondout Neighborhood Center, 103 Broadway (ID Required for Entry)
Grand Prize: $1000 gift certificate for a trip to Ireland. Winners drawn from registered runners in attendance at the Post Race Party. Winners must be present at the time of drawing and have a number to win.
