Still Lifes from Scraps: Art You Can Make from Bed

Join us for this one day art class taught by local Teaching Artist Andrea Andalis. We will explore the art of still lifes using scrap fabrics and embroidery detailing. In this hands-on class, you will learn techniques to create vibrant still life’s, suitable for any skill level.
Andrea Andalis is a Hudson Valley Native. She studied at Suny New Paltz where she received her Bachelors of Science in visual arts. Her art practice uses textile imagery enhanced through found fabrics, embroidery stitching, and bead work.
Materials are provided with class fee. However, if you have any of these materials laying around at home, feel free to bring them in.
Glue sticks
Sewing pins
Scrap fabrics
Embroidery hoops
Beads (I like using glass seed beads in my own artwork)
Embroidery thread and embroidery needles
Sewing thread and needles
