King City Corral is a relatively new force on the western swing scene, bringing together some serious heavyweights of the genre—including virtuoso multi-instrumentalist Dennis Lichtman and steel guitar master Raphael MacGregor—with the timeless, unmistakable vocals of Krissie Nagy, whose classic style calls to mind the great swing singers of the 1930s and ’40s.
With jaw-dropping musicianship, deep roots in Texas swing, and a healthy appetite for improvisation, King City Corral brings the sophistication of jazz together with the earthy drive of country music.
But for all their virtuosity, the band never loses sight of what western swing was made for: dancing and having a damn good time. Their sets are packed with driving grooves, hot solos, and old-school western swing guaranteed to keep dancers on the floor.
The band will feature Matt Munisteri on guitar, Dennis Lichtman on fiddle, mandolin & clarinet, Raphael MacGregor on pedal steel, Sean Cronin on upright bass, Rich Levinson on drums, and Krissie Nagy on vocals.
