Triangle Shirtwaist Fire Commemoration

Join us for a community commemoration marking the anniversary of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. In collaboration with artist Marian (Mau) Schoettle, we will read aloud the names of those who lost their lives, ringing a bell after each in remembrance.

Together, we will reflect on the lasting significance of labor history—especially the role of immigrant workers in the garment industry. Weather permitting, participants are invited to contribute to a temporary chalk memorial.
