Traffic Park Painting Party
Pick up a paintbrush and help create the Traffic Park!
Join Live Well Kingston for a painting party at Forsyth Park, June 13th, 9am – noon (rain date: June 14th) where volunteers will paint street signs and markings onto Kingston’s brand-new “Traffic Park” — mini streetscape painted on an underused parking lot at Forsyth Park.
The Department of Public Works has already laid the foundation, painting the lines for roads complete with crosswalks, a roundabout, a turning lane, and a one-way street. Now we need you to bring it to life by helping us paint the road signs!
Once finished, the Traffic Park will give people of all ages a safe, welcoming space to practice walking and biking skills — just like navigating a real neighborhood, but without the traffic.
No painting experience needed. Just bring your enthusiasm!
