Tales from the Underground
Ghost Stories of the Hudson Valley

Hosted by The Night Watchman

Celebrate our 250th anniversary by traveling across three centuries. Meet four historic figures from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, all of whom shaped our rich local history. Each will prove that our past is no longer buried. In between their visits, The Night Watchman will entertain you with stories of local spirits that haunt the Hudson Valley.

  • Governor George Clinton: A Revolutionary War soldier and statesman, and the fourth Vice-President of the United States.
  • Mama Nuchwe: A member of the Esopus tribe will talk about life before the arrival of the Dutch settlers in 1658.
  • Julia Dillion: An artist and Kingston native who broke the mold by running an ironworks company in the 19th century.
  • Thomas Cornell: A 19th century businessman and politician who was instrumental in the growth of the local shipping, canal, railroad and hotel industries.. His son-in-law, Samuel Coykendall, was controlled the Rosendale cement industry.

NOTE: This performance is family and kid- friendly and does not include any jump scare activity, immersive horror or extreme haunts.
