The Niche (ft. Rob Compa of Dopapod) w/ Hilltop
The Niche toured extensively throughout the Northeast from 2000-2006, amassing a devoted following in college towns in particular. They were highly popular at musical festivals and opened as direct support for headliners such as Umphrey’s McGee, Derek Trucks Band and Max Creek.
Dopapod guitarist Rob Compa, who sites the Niche as a major influence, subbed in with them temporarily on guitar and later invited keyboardist Willy O’Riley to join his all-star supergroup Borg Party ft. members of Dopapod, the Niche, Turkuaz, Aqueous and Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad.
Though they halted active touring at the end of 2006, The Niche has continued to perform throughout the years for special occasions. Now celebrating 25 years since their first show, they are excited to announce a mini-tour planned for spring of 2025 featuring Rob Compa of Dopapod on guitar! They’ll also be promoting their sophomore album “Breaking Down” which was recorded over 20+ years ago and recently brought back to life from the vaults. They’ll be pushing these dates heavily through all of their various channels.

Hilltop is a four piece Funk Rock band from Albany, NY. Over the past six years they’ve made a name for themselves with carefully crafted originals, mind bending improvisation & fun, diverse covers.
