From the Catskills and the Hudson Valley, from songs to the “light” and to the Devil “Hiding in the courtyard” the Carl Mateo Band play powerful roots and groove-oriented original songs steeped in Americana and tinged with gospel, latin and reggae influences. Carl renders soulful and emotive performances on utilizing guitar, piano and electric harmonica. With his long time partner Peter Dougan on inspired electric and acoustic guitar and with one of the finest rhythm sections in the Hudson Valley, Eric Parker on drums and Kyle Esposito on bass, this is a rare show not to be missed.
