Summer Hoot 2026
Experience three days of world-class roots music, featuring more than 20 acts including Hoot founders & hosts The Mammals. Reconnect with friends and neighbors as you explore a vibrant handmade craft village, enjoy activities in the Kids Zone, and savor local food, beer, and cider. Join a jam or singalong, try blacksmithing, or take a guided hike to breathtaking Cathedral Gorge. Unwind with intimate mini-concerts in the Pewter Shop, and start your mornings with rejuvenating gong baths and yoga. The Winter & Summer Hoots are a unique partnership between The Ashokan Center and the wider community. Unlike a traditional fundraiser, the Hoot is designed to be accessible and welcoming, with sliding-scale admission options that allow people from all backgrounds to participate. At the same time, through the generosity of sponsors, donors, volunteers, vendors, and attendees who pay full price, the community gives back to The Ashokan Center, creating a mutually supportive relationship that benefits everyone involved.
The Ashokan Center provides the beautiful setting, infrastructure, and stewardship that allow the Hoot to thrive. Together, organizers, volunteers, artists, sponsors, and Ashokan staff have helped grow the Hoot into a well-respected and highly anticipated regional gathering that strengthens intergenerational connections, celebrates handmade music, food, and art, and fosters appreciation for cultural traditions and the natural environment.
