STANDPOINT 4
STANDPOINT is back! The Kingston Pop Museum is excited to present the fourth STANDPOINT group show as they go Neo-pop in their latest exhibition. It will feature the avant-garde sculptures, films, and pastels of JW Cornbroom; the surreal paintings of Mark Hopkins and Dawn Bisio; the elegant and lyrical paintings of Archil Pichkhadze and Naoko Oshima; and the enigmatic photography of Carl Cox. Each of these talented artists will create brand new works in the bright colors and bold design of the Pop style, celebrating the visual excitement that is the legacy of the Pop generation. The exhibit will also feature live blues music starting at 8pm.
STANDPOINT was formed by JW Cornbroom and Archil Pichkhadze in 2024 to challenge artists with tasks that highlight their unique abilities. The objective of a STANDPOINT exhibition is to have a small group of artists interpret the same subject in their own way, each making the same image from a different ‘standpoint’. The artists present fresh one-of-a-kind work for each exhibit.
STANDPOINT 4 will run from September 19th through October 11th at The Kingston Pop Museum, located at 672 Broadway in Kingston, NY. Opening reception is on Friday, September 19th from 6pm to 10pm. The Kingston Pop Museum is also open for ArtWalk Weekend on September 20th and 21st.
