Sketch Comedy Camp for Kids!
Calling all comedic kids! Join Youth Ensemble Theater (YET) this summer for a two-week Sketch Comedy Intensive, where youth actors explore the wild world of sketch comedy—from spontaneous storytelling to crafting original characters and combustible situations. Through YET’s signature theater games and improv-based ensemble work, participants will learn the “rules” of comedy, stretch their imaginations, and collaborate in the fast-paced creation of original material.
No previous experience needed—just a sense of humor and a willingness to play! The program culminates in a live sketch comedy performance on Friday, July 11 at 7 PM, showcasing students’ original sketches for friends and family.
Taught by Trudy Poux!
Comedian, actor, and musician Trudy Poux brings their comedy chops to YET this summer! Trudy trained at The Second City (NYC), studied with comedian Adam Conover, and led the BRAD Comedy Club at Bard College. In addition to performing, Trudy is a youth educator and podcast producer with the Future Perfect Project, amplifying LGBTQ+ youth voices across the country.
