Photo Club: Me and My Story

This Photo Club invites participants of all ages to explore who they are through art, just like the Kenyon twins did.  Participants will create collages that incorporate their portraits. They’ll use colorful paper, fun tools, sparkly decorations, and printed portraits. All materials will be provided by CPW. The workshop will also allow for deep looking at CPW’s current exhibition of the Kenyon sisters’ decades-long series of portraits and collages, in My Sister, My Self. Participants will be encouraged to discuss how artists use colors and shapes to express feelings and ideas. This Photo Club will be led by CPW’s Community Engagement Coordinator and artist, Cesar Castro. 12-3pm on a rolling basis.

Este Photo Club invita a participantes de todas las edades a explorar quiénes son a través del arte, tal como lo hicieron las gemelas Kenyon. Los participantes crearán collages incorporando sus retratos. Utilizarán papel de colores, herramientas divertidas, decoraciones brillantes y retratos impresos. CPW proporcionará todos los materiales. El taller también permitirá una observación profunda a la exposición actual de CPW de la serie de retratos y collages de décadas de las hermanas Kenyon, en My Sister, My Self (Mi hermana, Mi persona). Invitamos a los participantes a discutir cómo los artistas usan los colores y las formas para expresar sentimientos e ideas. Photo Club será dirigido por el Coordinador de Participación Comunitaria y artista de CPW, César Castro.
