Organ Concert at Trinity Lutheran Church
Come and enjoy an afternoon organ concert featuring Jim Lorenz.
James Lorenz is the Organist and Choirmaster of St. James Episcopal Church in Woodstock, VT, as well as the Band and General Music Teacher of the Indian River Middle School in Canaan, NH. He received his Bachelor of Music in Church Music from Concordia College, Bronxville, NY, and his Master of Music and Doctor of Music degrees in Organ Performance from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. Dr. Lorenz grew up as a fourth-generation member of Trinity Lutheran, Kingston, having been baptized, confirmed, and married in this very sanctuary. He was a sometimes substitute organist for Trinity before his first regular position at the First Congregational Church in Saugerties and was an organ student of the late Barbara Lottridge, then organist of the Old Dutch Church, prior to his college career.
There will be a reception after the concert to meet and greet Jim.
