Movies and Making: Victorian Valentines x Casablanca

Love is in the air at The Department of Things! Create your own unique Victorian era inspired Valentines while watching the classic romance Casablanca!

We’ll provide a range of historical imagery and materials to choose from, plus we’ll be screening Casablanca to get you inspired! Meet new friends and get crafty at this casual “Things on Thursdays” workshop at The Department of Things.

Create tons of valentines for all your friends… invest all your time in one unique carefully crafted card for your one true love… get sassy in the Victorian tradition of Vinegar Valentines for jilted lovers… make a valentine for your favorite pet… so many ways to approach these handmade emotional testaments!

BYO beverages, plus hot tea and snacks will be provided.

$40 includes all materials but feel free to bring your own images to collage of your loved ones as well as extra bobbles, trimming and notions. The Victorians were maximalists, so more is more with these cards!
