Kingston Artist Downhill Derby

Let’s make history- again!
Dragons. Flying saucers. A clock the size of a couch. If it rolls, it has a place in the Kingston Artist Downhill Derby.
For 31 years, the Historic Waterfront District has watched artists send non-motorized kinetic sculptures down Lower Broadway. No motors. All gravity. Pure spectacle.
And it’s happening again.
Sunday, August 16. Registration opens at 11am.
The event rolls at 1pm.
Then the party keeps going. Live music, food vendors, games, and activities for kids. The day closes with an award ceremony and artist-designed trophies for the crowd favorites.
This one belongs to the whole Hudson Valley…and beyond! Come from Kingston. Come from Poughkeepsie, Woodstock, Beacon, or wherever. Bring a chair. Bring your people. Claim a spot on Lower Broadway and celebrate creativity and community.
