Grow Well Open Gardens

Join Grow Well Kingston (https://livewellkingston.org/grow-well/) Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm, for a guided visit to five gardens in the City of Kingston. Learn about the spaces and meet the stewards. Share the love of gardening and meet new neighbors. 

Join us via bicycle to visit all five gardens or meet us at any of the stops along the way.  Contact us if you would like to borrow a bicycle or need a helmet. The route is 4 miles total and will be at a slow pace. Spanish interpretation will be available thanks to the Hudson Valley Farm Hub. 

This route has five scheduled stops: 

  • 9 am: Urban Greens Garden, 22 Elmendorf Street
  • 9:30: Harambee Heritage Community Garden, 157 Pine Street
  • 10 am: Barmann Park Garden, 3 S. Clinton Ave
  • 10:30 am: Kingston YMCA Farm Project, 1 Summer Street
  • 11 am: GW Elementary Garden, 67 Wall St (Washington Ave side)

Please wear comfortable clothes, bring water, sunblock, snacks, and anything else to be comfortable. 

Any changes to the plan or cancellation will be decided on Friday, August 28th at noon and posted here (https://livewellkingston.org/events/grow-well-open-gardens/).
