Getting Unstuck: Branding 101 for Entrepreneurs

When

Wed, Sep 17, 2025
6:00 pm-9:00 pm

Where

The Department of Things
115 Abeel St. , Kingston, NY, 12401

Event Type

For: founders, creatives, and business-starters who want to get out of their own way and launch.

We’ll cover branding and identity basics, then get hands-on with exercises to help you define your voice, your vibe, and how you talk about what you do. You’ll leave with an understanding of how to craft your brand statement and move forward with your visual direction (plus a bonus deck of creative prompts to keep going!).

This workshop is designed to be fun, constructive, and collaborative. You’ll get feedback from peers (and me), real resources, and pro tips to make branding feel less overwhelming — and more like you.

No branding or design experience needed! Register via Eventbrite.

Where at? The Department of Things, of course! (The coolest local screenprinting studio and creative retail shop)

Workshop is ~3 hours long with a short break in the middle.

Meet Your Instructor

Amanda Jaquin is a Kingston-based creative, strategist, and community builder who is obsessed with turning a kernel of an idea into an experience humans discover and fall in love with. ✨

She currently leads community and marketing at The Luupe as Director of Integrated Marketing and works with small businesses to craft strategic branding, identity, and marketing solutions as the founder of Fret Not Studios.

While her roots are in graphic design, she quickly found a knack for experimentation while concepting, testing, and validating brand and product strategies for clients like TED, Gannett, and Consumer Reports at Spark No. 9.
