Dakota Lane’s Candyland
From rock royalty to cult leaders, Multimedia artist, NY Times journalist and teen mentor Dakota Lane reveals untold childhood history from counterculture Woodstock and Bay Area, exploring the power of art to heal, in Candyland. This exhibit with paintings, photos, sculpture and artifacts, focuses on youth resiliency, transforming personal, high-stakes childhood experiences and showcasing the power of art and community to heal. The Lace Mill in Kingston, NY, from August 1-29, The interactive exhibit features vibrant neon art, a community resiliency forest, and a free “50 Ways to Tell Your Story” workshop on August 5.
