The Lace Mill is very excited to host the esteemed Philadelphia alto-saxophonist, Bobby Zankel, with his Wonderful Sound 6, on February 25th (Wednesday evening).

Born in NY, but settling in Philadelphia in the mid-70s, Zankel is well known for his association with the great Cecil Taylor, and also, Steve Coleman, along with many others. His compositions have been described having the “intricate virtuosity of bebop, and the high energy and spirituality of the avant garde.”
