Architecture of Staatsburgh – A Spring Break Program for Ages 8 to 12

A guided tour of the Gilded Age Beaux Arts-style mansion of Ruth and Ogden Mills will highlight its neo-classical architectural elements including columns, fanlights, pediments, and porticos. Students will then build cardboard models using these elements, just like famed architect Stanford White when designing Staatsburgh in 1895.
