2025 Shamrock Run
The Irish Cultural Center of the Hudson Valley (ICCHV) is pleased to announce the 37th Annual Shamrock Run on Sunday, March 16th, 2025! This annual two mile fun run precedes the Kingston St Patrick’s Parade. Participants are invited to gather at Academy Green for check-in, and with a cannon blast at 12:50pm sharp, runners and walkers will race down the heart of Kingston and end at the foot of Broadway.
The 35th Annual Shamrock Run will honor the memory of Eric Hansen and benefit the Ulster County SPCA. Entry fee for the race is $30 online before March 1st, and $35 after. Day of registration accepted at the race! There are no refunds or exchanges, and animals are not permitted. Shamrock Run t-shirts are only available to participants who register before March 1st. T-shirts are only available by registering for the Run and will NOT be sold separately.
There will be a post-race party at the Rondout Neighborhood Center at 105 Broadway at 1:30pm. Prizes will be randomly drawn from all registered runners. Grand prize is a $1,000 gift card towards a trip to Ireland! You must have a race number and be present to win.
The ICCHV is excited to continue the Yvonne Sill School Participation Award & Trophy for the school with the highest student participation percentage, sponsored by Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union. The school with the highest student participation percentage will receive $500 and have the honor of displaying the Yvonne Sill trophy in their school. Ms. Sill was a local teacher and pillar in the community who passed from a sudden illness in 2018. ICCHV began the Yvonne Sill award for school participation in 2019.
New this year is the Brian Hoeck Award – awarded to the (non-school) team with the highest number of participants.
