Wrecked and Abandoned presented by the Hudson River Maritime Museum
Beginning with the opening of the Delaware and Hudson Canal in the 1820s, the Hudson River and Rondout Creek were extremely waterways.Over those bustling years, many boats and barges were neglected and left to rot or scrapped for parts. Accidents were unfortunately inevitable, and the Rondout Creek and Hudson River is home to a plethora of forgotten, wrecked and abandoned vessels.
