Lexxie Mathis:
Lexxie Mathis is a bassist and composer currently based in Wilmington, DE after spending the past five years studying and working in Brooklyn, NY. While she loves laying down funky grooves, touring, and recording in the studio, her solo work embarks on an ambient and electronica journey—bringing the bass to the forefront through harmonics, chordal ideas, and melodic, airy, textures that often make it sing like a synthesizer. Drawing inspiration from composers like Brian Eno, C418, and Aphex Twin, Lexxie creates immersive soundscapes that bridge the organic and the electronic. You can find her performing in gardens, yoga studios, or intimate venues—crafting dreamy, emotive sounds that are meant to be felt as much as heard.
