Shemesh/Tampasis with Justin Geyer
Shemesh/Tampasis is a Hudson Valley-based duo project featuring Omer Shemesh on oud + keyboards, and Adriana Tampasis on flute. The duo’s compositions blur the lines between composition and improvisation, utilizing narrative score and open structure, as well as extended technique. The project highlights collaboration and musical conversation as essential elements to the duo’s creative work and process. Because of this, their sound weaves in and out of moments of reflection and moments of reaction, initiating a dialogue with one another that is thoughtful and kept in the moment.
