Spring is right around the corner. How do we know? One of Kingston’s great traditions and unofficial Spring kick-off celebrations is happening this weekend- The St. Patrick’s Day Parade! The forecast calls for plenty of sunshine on Sunday, perfect for marching in the parade or watching from the sidelines. And don’t forget about lacing up those running/walking shoes. Another longstanding Kingston tradition, The annual Shamrock Run, is perfect for runners of all abilities, walkers, joggers, and families alike!
Not into any of the Green-themed festivities? There’s still plenty going on for you this weekend. Check out MET Opera streaming live right here at the beautiful Bardavon (UPAC) Theater. Black History is being honored all year long here in Kingston, so come celebrate the unsung black heroes of our Kingston community at SUNY Ulster’s ‘Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future!’ at the Mary’s Avenue Campus. And there’s always plenty of live music to choose from to keep you entertained all weekend long.
